We hold two classes for pet dogs and their owners each Monday evening. The first from 7.00pm until 7.30pm for puppies and starters, on a course basis @ £40 for 8 weeks.

The new recruits are divided into 2 groups, Puppies and Starters. The Puppy Class now includes the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Puppy Foundation course and is run by Dorene Weston, who has 13 years training  experience. The Starters class (for dogs which are new to training but too old for the Puppy Class) is run by Janet Tandy (Aff.BIPDT 2nd Grade Hons).

On completion of the course, the new handlers are presented with certificates and offered the opportunity to become full club members. They are also encouraged to partake in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme Bronze, Silver & Gold Awards.

The Good Citizen Scheme Bronze Award class runs from 7.30pm until 8.00pm and is run by Joan Richards and assisted by Julie Johnson. The Silver Award Class is from 8pm until 8.30 and the instructor is Lynn Thomas (Aff.BIPDT). Both of these class run for 8 weeks before the test. The Gold Award class runs for 16 weeks, beginning at 8.30pm each Monday evening. This class is instructed by Ron Oakley..

Over the last few years, many club members have taken the Good Citizen Scheme Gold Award test, and passed with flying colours.
