We hold two classes for pet dogs and their owners each Monday evening. The first from 7.00pm until 7.30pm for puppies and starters, on a course basis @ £18 for 8 weeks.

The new recruits are divided into 2 groups, puppies and older dogs. The instructors for these classes are Dorene Weston, who has 11 years training  experience, and Janet Tandy, who qualified on the B.I.D.T. course last year.

On completion of the course, the new handlers are presented with certificates and offered the opportunity to become full club members. They are also encouraged to partake in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme.

The Good Citizen Scheme Bronze Award class runs from 7.30pm until 8.00pm and the Silver is from 8pm until 8.30, both running for 8 weeks before the test. The Gold Award class runs for 16 weeks, beginning at 8.30pm each Monday evening.

All the Kennel Club Good Citizens classes are run by Ron Mills (who has over 20 years training experience), with assistants Joan Richards and Teresa Dunn.

Some of the club members have taken the Good Citizen Scheme Gold Award test, and passed with flying colours.

These dogs are being taught how to walk through a gate properly.
